Bombardier has come under scrutiny for increasing executive bonuses by nearly 50 percent this past year, at a time when the company was accepting government loans from the province of Quebec to complete the transition into production for the C-Series.

Embraer's first E195-E2 prototype made its first flight this past week, joining the E190-E2 in flight test.  The E190-E2 and E195-E2 are powered by a version of the Pratt & Whitney Geared TurboFan (GTF) engine that also powers the Bombardier C-Series.

The first Airbus A319 NEO prototype made its first flight this past week, powered by a CFM International LEAP-1A engine.  The A319 NEO is the smallest member of the A320 NEO family.
