Bombardier has been awarded the same type rating (STR) for both the CS100 and CS300 aircraft models, by both the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Transport Canada. This allows for delivery of CS300 aircraft under the previously issued type certification for the CS100 model.

Embraer expects to begin assembly for the first wing for its prototype E195-E2 airplane within the next few days. The E195-E2 is a stretched version of the E190-E2 which is already in flight test. The E195-E2 will feature up to 144 seats.
